Monday, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office announced that the producer price index was unchanged on a yearly basis in October, after rising 3.4% in September. Economists expected a 0.1% fall.

Mining and quarrying prices climbed 0.5%, on an annual basis, while manufacturing prices were up 0.6%. However, utility prices fell 2.9%.

On a monthly basis also producer prices remained flat in October. This comes after a 0.1% rise in the previous month.

In the first ten months of the year, producer prices climbed 5.7% from the same period in the previous year.
