Romania Jan. Current Account Deficit Narrows

Romania's current account deficit stood at EUR 123 million in January, which was 73.2% lower than the previous year, the central bank said on Friday. The current account deficit was EUR 459 million a year ago.

The trade deficit amounted to EUR 217 million in January, down 55.8% compared to the previous year. At the same time, the current transfers totaled EUR 332 million, up from EUR 218 million last year.
